OUTCOME
At the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) our mission is to support our community of learners – from ninth grade students to veteran teachers –to challenge themselves and succeed.
We provide a one-stop shop for academic support in our newly restored 13,000 square feet space.
Before, during, or after school our students have access to the Joseph Meyerhoff Library, a Writing Center, the Cordish Technology Center, the Reed Math and Science Center, a Research Center, George Doetsch Hall, and the Gwaltney Study.
The Joseph Meyerhoff Library opened to our students on the first day of school 2016. There is an average of 100 student visits a day as students take advantage of our updated book collection, wireless internet, computers, and quiet study space.
The Writing and Math Centers conduct over 1000 unique tutoring sessions each year. Their new space in the CTL has enabled them to double the number of tutors they train every year, and in so doing increase the diversity and number of sessions they are able to offer.
The addition of George Doetsch Hall provides the space needed to offer Professional Development courses, invite speakers and performers and, hold special events.
